I am very psyched for Sigiri, the food there is fantastic!

Caveat emptor though...Sri Lankan chilis are are as hot as Jerry's solo in the 8/6/71 Hard to Handle!

Hope some forumites in the area will join join us for great food and a fun time before Further!

Sigiri is a great spot. It's quite inexpensive and one of the top-ten (I love top-tens) BYOB places in NYC:

I will be coming on the Megabus to 7th Ave. & 28th St. ETA is 3:50 I hope that's not too late. Working with a Sikh Indian lady from Punjab, I've gotten to try some rather spicy food over the years.

Wait, I'm confused. Cliff, you can't possibly be going to see Furthur.

Oh, I see. Whew, I was going to have to be worried about you if you were selling out your principles so easily ...

You should make another video - perhaps you could have a married couple one of whom is an enthusiastic Furthur fan and the other a stalwart early-era purist, fake-Jerry-deriding, Furthur refusenik ... got some possibilities there!!

Refusenik may be just a smidge too much ( long live '68! ). Deb is going to Worcester for Friday night's show and then onto our day on Saturday . She is heavily pressuring me to go Sunday . I said , " You have seen them 8 times this year , isn't that enough ? "

She said she needed more shows .

Deb is entering a blazing renaissance of hippieness . ( No patchouli ! )
I'm wearing black pretty much all the time to even out the color spectrum .

LOL. Tell her I said "You go girl!" - though I guess that isn't something that actual hippies said, is it?

She was snapping her fingers at me the other day in a Z formation , complete with hip rotation and head circulation . I think they both somehow fit in 2010 .

Never had Sri food, sounds like it might require beer or riesling. What's the call?

Larry, Sri Lankan cuisine is intensely spicy. I'll probably bring a bottle of Tavel, and pick up a six-pack or three of Sri Lankan beer from the deli downstairs...

I figured it was spicy which is why i thought riesling. Never thought of Tavel with a spicy dish. That sounds like a great idea. Tavel was always summer by the pool stuff for me.

Riesling would be a perfect match with that cuisine Larry. Unfortunately I'm not much a fan of off-dry wines. Unless, of course, it's an aged bottle of d'Yquem with something like a Soufflé d' Grand Marnier.

This stuff requires copious quantities of beer...
